Mogán, your warm paradise

Mogán is known for having the best climate in Europe and one of the best climates in the world thanks to its location. It offers its visitors an average temperature of 24º C all year round and almost 365 days of sunshine every year, guaranteeing great weather for all visitors and tourists.

Mogan has more than 16km of coastline and a total of 19 magnificent beaches to suit all tastes. Some are unspoilt and quiet like Almud, Los Frailes, Tiritañas or Veneguera and some have lots of restaurants and activities available such as Amadores, Anfi, Playa de Mogán, Puerto Rico, Las Marañuelas or Taurito.

Away from the coast, Mogán also has a more hidden beauty in the interior of its mountains and ravines where the friendliness of its inhabitants make areas like Veneguera, Barranquillo Andrés and Soria a pleasure to visit.

The Best Weather in The World

The climate in Puerto Mogán is considered the most pleasant in the world. The south of Gran Canaria is especially sunny thanks to the height of the center of the island. It blocks the wind and clouds that come from the north, creating a pocket of clean air, what we call a microclimate, which is why it is usually sunny in the south of Gran Canaria even when the rest of the island is cloudy and windy. Average temperatures, Mogán: Winter 21ºC - Summer 28ºC.

The Harbour

Somehow Puerto de Mogán has escaped the ravages of developers who have spoiled most Spanish resorts. Surrounded by two-storey apartments full of flowers and colours, it is a pleasure to walk around the port with its mix of shops, restaurants and bars accompanied by flowery arches over the narrow pedestrian streets.

The houses are immaculate, covered in lush gardens with bougainvillea, hibiscus, palm trees, bird of paradise flowers and other amazingly colorful plants.

You can also enjoy interesting views from the canals between the marina and the fishing port that pass under the archers on the buildings and between the port and the beach. The small marina is full of boats and is very interesting to walk around. The landscape is also spectacular, with imposing cliffs and small rocky coves, really beautiful.

The Mogán Beach

Playa de Mogán is smaller than most of the other beaches located on this miniature continent, but it's relaxed. Due to the microclimate in the south-west we always have sunny and windless weather, this is good news to all the sun worshipers, a beautiful sandy beach is a real sun trap. The promenade has a range of restaurants, bars and shops which offers friendly staff and good atmosphere from all the relaxed travellers. If you feel more adventures you can swim on the other side of the bay which has very clear water which is perfect if you want to snorkel. Diving is also an amazing experience here which we really recommend you to do especially because we know how great the diving centre is. Additionally there is a lot of activity on the water everyday, ranging from sailing to parasailing amongst other fun activities.
